When polished, Ulexite become the famous "Television Stone".The optical effect shown by Television Stone is caused by each of its individual fibers acting as fiber-optic cables, transmitting light from one side to the other. This stone (a hydrated sodium calcium borate hydroxide) has a vitreous and silky shine and is even partially soluble in hot water. Original display in a brass circle, in order to experiment this property: a text placed under the stone seems to appear on the upper surface of the mineral.
